In the current socio-economic context, innovation is fundamental for the well-being of people and the prosperity of our countries, and thus, it is up to the design sector to demonstrate its value in contributing to a sustainable and equitable innovation. But this potential of design as a strategic tool capable of connecting research, industry and society can not be fully developed if it does not have institutional, public support that encourages awareness and promotes its development.
With the aim of creating a document that helps to launch an Action Plan for a Public Design Strategy as one of its main objectives, the 6th National Design Meeting, 6ENAD, will be held in Valencia on the 20th and 21st of September, within the Valencia Design Week.
Another important purpose of this forum, organized by the Association of Designers of the Valencian Community (ADCV) and the Spanish Network of Design Associations (READ), is to share knowledge, highlighting this year the international participation to promote a line of common work around design and innovation.
Under the general theme of "Design Policy" professionals from different sectors and with varied profiles will meet in 6ENAD, but all of them with the same interest: design. Participation is free and registration management is done online at: http://www.designread.es/6enad
