MUNICH CREATIVE BUSINESS WEEK (MCBW), taking place between 3 and 11 March 2018, is the largest design event in Germany, which illustrates the potential in the field: Over 200 committed Programme Partners create a cross-discipline platform for companies with an affinity for design, designers, design agencies and all other people interested in design. Following the motto "Design transforms", the two programmes -  "CREATE BUSINESS!" for experts and "DESIGN SCHAU!" for the public – engage more than 65,000 participants in substantial knowledge transfer and inspiring design experiences. MCBW is organised by BEDA member bayern design GmbH and sponsored by the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology and the City of Munich. iF International Forum Design GmbH is a founding partner. As MCBW partners, BMW Group, Steelcase and Microsoft provide substantial support. 

MCBW FORUM is the main meeting point of Munich Creative Business Week (MCBW) at Isarforum adjacent to Deutsches Museum. For nine days, MCBW FORUM will provide insights into the design industry and expand the current understanding of design with diverse focal themes, while fostering critical dialogue. MCBW FORUM is the place to be for design aficionados and experts looking to be inspired. In addition to the main exhibition of MCBW, visitors will be provided with detailed information on design from diverse perspectives in lectures, discussion panels, product presentations and workshops. Current, innovative, groundbreaking, conceptual and futuristic products and concepts as well as numerous events presented at MCBW FORUM 2018 will illustrate the impact of transformation by design on people, technologies and markets. 

"DESIGN SCHAU! TRANSFORMATIONEN" will be a showcase of approximately 25 exhibits and projects curated by bayern design. Exhibitors include global brands such as Microsoft, Steelcase and BMW as well as research institutions such as Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR), Fraunhofer Institut and Technische Universität München. Young Munich-based companies such as flissade and gridxkin will also be present. In the themed sections titled "Design stimulates people", "Design enables technology", "Design changes business" and "Design makes the difference", visitors can learn about the latest developments in these areas and catch a glimpse of the future. 

Events such as the Creative Teatime lectures series, Creative Breakfast and events hosted by MCBW Program Partners will offer inspiration and ample room for discussions.
