The seventh FREEDOM SQUARED Belgrade Design Week festival will be held from 4th to 10th of June 2012.

Their new 2012 BDW topic is - FREEDOM SQUARED - tailor made to achieve BDW's mission and vision of creating a society of knowledge in the South East European region of 100 million people between Vienna and Istanbul.

BDW's hearth piece, the world famous international creative conference, will run for 3 days from June 7th to June 9th, and this year again will cover almost all areas of the creative industries. Prior to the conference hours a panel segment under the name FREEDOM PANELS is dedicated to social engineering, sustainable development and new ideas related to the strategic planning of our society.

Such complex conference program is divided into six sections differentiated by topic, starting with the three distinct days in the official conference program.

Munich Creative Business Week (MCBW) will be the special event in the state capital of Bavaria to present multifaceted, innovative design activities, to give momentum to interdisciplinary design discourse and to bring together people in the creative and economic sectors from around the world. MCBW will serve as a platform for fostering international partnerships and demonstrating the business potential of the state of Bavaria and of the partners participating.

The BCN Design Week 2011, organised by BCD Barcelona Design Centre, closed last October 21 having achieved a considerable success, attracting over two thousand visitors from 15 different countries. The excellent results as regards participation, the high standard of the speakers and – particularly – the positive response and satisfaction shown by those attending, all helped to consolidate this international congress as a major event on the international calendar for promoting and discussing design.

This new edition of BCN Design Week focused on the relationship between knowledge, innovation, opportunities and progress, key concepts of the European Innovation Policy, the Innovation Union, a key initiative of the of the 2020 strategy.
