The conference is organized by the DESIRE Network, which is an Initial Training Network funded by the European Commission, Framework 7 under Marie Curie Actions Programme. The network aims to advance the current understanding of creative design processes applied in scientific and technological problem solving.

Conference on Interation Design
The Design by Fire Conference provides a stage for inspiring professionals to share their passion for interaction design with peers, refueling knowledge and competence to cope with the challenges of IxD's professional practice.
The conference is named after Andrei Herasimchuk's weblog designbyfire.com. The name ‘Design by Fire’ is a variation on the expression ‘Trial by Fire’: a test of one's abilities to perform well under pressure.
The conference features a full day of inspirational and pioneering sessions for anyone who practices interaction design, information design or experience design. Like last year, we have 200 seats available.

NPolicy, Innovation & Design Conference.
Purpose of event:
This conference is the project’s final event and aims to provide delegates with an overview of design’s role in innovation, recent design policy developments in Europe, examples of successful design policies and promotion programmes. The programme will be opened by Polish MEP, Jan Olbrycht with reflections on design as part of the Europe 2020 strategy. During the day, the SEE project lead partner will also briefly present the project’s achievements over the last three years.

NPolicy, Innovation & Design Conference.
The SEE project is a network of 11 European design organisations engaging with regional and national government to integrate design into policy, particularly innovation policy. The project runs from September 2008 to June 2011, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund through the INTERREG IVC programme.
