Designers are valued for their cognitive and creative ability to approach problems and to develop concrete, tangible and validated solutions, leading to new products and services for both the consumer and business markets. In order to prepare for future societal challenges, disruptive solutions have to be found. For this, the design profession will have to encompass and apply new competences and knowledge.
This will contribute to the objectives:
• To increase private research funding in the sector
• To increase the number of participants in research and innovation
• And to enhance the cooperation with potential clients in the creative industry.
CLICKNL | DESIGN has developed a concise research and innovation agenda in consultation with practitioners and researchers, which will enable projects ranging from knowledge creation to implementation in market pilots.
A cooperation of representative design organisations leads CLICKNL | DESIGN. Design United, platform for Dutch Research in Design, coordinates the activities of CLICKNL | DESIGN.
