Sarah Weir OBE to step down as Design Council Chief Executive

Sarah Weir OBE has announced that she will be stepping down as Chief Executive of Design Council after three and a half years at its helm, bringing to a close an illustrious career spanning 45 years. Her decision follows her diagnosis of a rare lung disease.

BEDA wishes to thank Sarah warmly for her strong support of BEDA’s work over the years. When BEDA started the Open Doors Dialogues last March to support its members to create positive strategies to overcome the impact of Covid-19, Sarah’s input in the dialogues was invaluable. We wish her well in times to come.
